My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that we are all resilient and each of us has unique strengths. I work with my clients to build on these strengths, increase their insight, and develop the trust needed to achieve their goals. I do this by providing a safe space in which you may process your experiences, express your feelings, challenge unhealthy relationship patterns, and develop self-awareness. My clients appreciate my down-to- earth, relational style, and open minded approach to therapy.
I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago in 2006 and I have over 10 years of experience providing counseling to a diverse range of clients including perinatal and postpartum mental health, infertility, infant loss, trauma, family systems, LGBTQ issues, anxiety, depression and life transitions. I blend conventional psychotherapy and contemporary techniques drawn from DBT, CBT and mindfulness practices.
My training includes an internship at the revolutionary Chicago Women’s Health Center, with additional trainings in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and 20/20 MOMS, and BEST Doula Training. I am a currently a Board Member of Postpartum Support Louisiana.
